These local students were named to the dean’s list or received a similar honor from their college or university for the fall 2014 semester:

Audrey Daly, a Guilderland High School graduate, at Mount St. Mary’s University in Maryland;

Dana Donnelly, of Delmar, at Nazareth College in Rochester;

Catherine Dudek, of Delmar, at Nazareth College in Rochester;

John Patrick Horan, of Schenectady, at Nazareth College in Rochester;

Danielle Miller, of Schenectady, at Nazareth College in Rochester;

Melissa Bogart, of Voorheesville, a junior majoring in civil engineering at Clarkson University in Potsdam;

Phillip Riscica, of Voorheesville, a sophomore majoring in engineering and management at Clarkson University in Potsdam;

Brian Root, of Altamont, a junior majoring in biomolecular science at Clarkson University in Potsdam;

Sophie Theis, of Guilderland, a sophomore majoring in public relations, has been named to the President’s List at the State University of New York College of Oswego, with a grade-point average of 3.8 or higher, among the top 7.4 percent of Oswego students;

Andrew T. Coy, at Canisius College in Buffalo where he was on the dean’s list with special distinction for a perfect academic record;

Alexandra Dombroski, of Schenectady at Hofstra University in Hemstead;

Molly Sonenberg, of Schenectady at Hofstra University in Hemstead;

Alexis Willey, of Schenectady at Hofstra University in Hemstead;

Mary DeVries, of Delmar earned honors at the University of New Hampshire;

Marjorie Steiner, of Slingerlands earned high honors at the University of New Hampshire;

Jacqueline Saddlemire, of Berne was named to the President’s List with a perfect 4.0 average at Morrisville State College;

Tyler Moore, of Voorheesville, at Morrisville State College;

Michelyn Little, of Voorheesville, the child of Darshan and Perry Little and a graduate of Clayton A. Bouton High School, on the president’s list, having earned at least an A- in all courses, at the State University of New York College at Cortland, where Little is majoring in exercise science; and

Emily Gray, a Guilderland High School graduate, who is in her first year at the State University of New York College at Oneonta where she is majoring in psychology.
