Hilltowns Senior News for Wednesday, September 24, 2014

The Hilltown Seniors are again offering Tai Chi classes. This will be a seven-week course, with a cost of $35. The classes will start Sept. 26, at the senior center from 10 to 11a.m.

Last fall we had a beginning and advanced Tai Chi classes, they were one hour of stress free activity.

I forgot to put this in last week, sorry.

I went on the Proctors website and found the following programs that you might be interested in:

— On Oct. 13, in the GE Theatre, they will be showing All's Quiet on the Western Front for $5;

— The weekend of Oct. 18 and 19, they will be having a quilt show. There is a charge of $7. But I am sure it will be worth it;

— Oct. 21, there is a free organ concert at noon; and also

— On Oct. 21, the Albany Symphony is putting on a concert for seniors.

There is parking in the parking garage and there is also a parking lot right in back of Proctors. Proctors is such a wonderful place to go to. They also have some cute shops and a small cafe.

Book club

The book club is reading, Stormy Weather by Paulette Jiles and will meet at the Caverns in Central Bridge on Oct. 28, at noon. Join us.

Don't forget to get your flu shot.

I went into a card shop the other day at Crossgates to buy a wedding card. They now have Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas combined all into one. My suggestion - boycott.
