Guilderland Senior Activities

The Guilderland Senior Services is offering the following activities the week of April 22. Call the senior office at 356-1980, ext. 1048 for any questions or information.

Monday: Scheduled shopping, aerobics at 9 a.m., senior fitness at 10:30 a.m., Strong Bones Plus at 10:30 a.m., and Strong Bones Plus at 1:30 p.m.;

Tuesday: Strong Bones Plus at 9 a.m., luncheon of roast pork or cold plate at 11:30 a.m., and bingo, games, and billiards at 12:30 p.m.;

Wednesday: Scheduled shopping, cardio circuit at 9 a.m., Strong Bones Plus at 10:30 a.m., senior fitness at 10:30 a.m., needlecraft at 1 p.m., and Strong Bones Plus at 1:30 p.m.

Thursday: Scheduled shopping, Strong Bones Plus at 9 a.m., a movie The Descents at 10:30a.m., sign up was by today, April 18, Mahjongg at 12:30 p.m., and Pinochle at 1 p.m.; and

Friday: Scheduled shopping, painting at 10 a.m., Bridge at 10 a.m., quilting at 1 p.m., and balance class at 1:30 p.m.

Save the date

The annual fashion show and luncheon will be held on Tuesday, May 14, at noon at The Cider House Restaurant at Orchard Creek Golf Course. Fashions will be provided by Fifi’s Frocks and Frills. Modeling will be done by the senior ladies.

Your luncheon entrée choices are pot roast, baked cod Florentine or chicken piccata.

Tickets are available in the senior office from April 9 to May 7, and cost $20 per person.

Please make checks payable to Town of Guilderland.

Remember to indicate your luncheon choice and if transportation is needed.

Movie of the month

On April 25, at 10:30 a.m., the movie The Descendants will be shown in the courtroom.

The movie is rated R. Please sign up by April 18.

Summer trips

The first trip planned for this summer:

— Tuesday, May 21, A Lobster Feast: A Buddy Holly Tribute, at the Log Cabin Banquet House. The cost for lunch, show, and the bus is $ 64. Departure is 10 a.m. and we will return at approximately 5:30 p.m. Barbecue chicken and ribs will be served, for non-lobster eaters.
