The Bethlehem Children’s School holds Greenfest Celebration

On may 17, the Bethlehem Children's School will once again host its annual Greenfest celebration, a full day of family fun with an emphasis on the small things people can do to create a greener world.

The event will feature organic, recycled, and fair-trade vendors; demonstrations; not-for-profit information; bucket and silent auctions; speakers, including state Assemblywoman Pat Fahy and Senator Neil Breslin; and live entertainment.

Local artists and crafters will also be on hand and there will be activities for children, including a bounce house, face-painting, and a magician.

Vendors include Bees of the Wood Apiary, McLean’s Candle Shop, Anita Bernardi, REimagine Studio, Burning Obsession Flameworked Glass, Basketkase, Karen Casey’s Gourmet Cupcakes, Stephanie McElhone’s Unique Handmade Baby and Kid Gifts, Silver Lining, Vibrant Scents, M’s Handmade Decorative Paper Boxes, H Squared Designs, Garden of One, Black Cat Button Bracelets and More, Tastefully Simple, and Short and Stout Tea Company

Food vendors include La Empanada Llama offering Peruvian cuisine, and Hot Spot with Jamaican-American Cuisine.

Greenfest runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Bethlehem Children’s School at 12 Fisher Boulevard in Slingerlands.

There is no cost for this event, but a suggested donation of a new or gently used book for the Albany Book Project, or a non-perishable food item for the First Israel AME Church food pantry.
