We have recently added new material to our collections. In the coming weeks, we’ll share information on our new material here as well as through our website and facebook. Library director

Our library director, Debbie Scott, resigned from her position and will be leaving the library in mid-December. We appreciate her past stewardship and wish her luck in her future professional career. The library’s board of trustees has created a search committee to find and hire a new library director.

We will have take-and-make kits available just inside the front vestibule on a bookshelf that will include a mask and supplies to get you started. You can add your own creative supplies or even sew an “ugly” face mask.

Kits will be available starting Nov. 27, while supplies last, and either a photo of your mask can be sent to or, better yet, we would love to display your never-worn decorated mask in our front window by Dec. 7. 

Categories for the contest are Elementary Age, Middle and High School Age,  and Adult. A committee of face-mask connoisseurs will judge the best — ahem, “ugliest.” The “ugliest” masks will be announced Dec. 10. We can’t wait to see all of the creative and festive “ugly” masks and hope they bring some holiday cheer to you and your family!

The library will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 26, in celebration of Thanksgiving. I have so much to be thankful for this year!

I am especially thankful for the amazing library staff, which continues to find new and creative ways of reaching out and supporting our community with programs, copies (a lot for the Department of Motor Vehicles), faxing, technology help, answering reference questions and processing all of our new materials that you take out!
