Westerlo Library Notes for Wednesday, August 6, 2014

 The Board of Library Trustees will meet on Monday, Aug. 11, at 7 p.m., at the Westerlo Public Library. This is an open public meeting.

Quilting

The quilting group will meet on Saturday, Aug. 9, at 11 a.m. Lead by Lila Hollister Smith, the group is open to all skill levels. The group meets the second and fourth Saturday of each month and new members are welcomed.

Fizz, Boom, READ

Our 2014 Summer Reading Program is full of activities for readers of all ages. Sign up and explore how science influences almost every aspect of our lives, as we “Fizz, Boom, READ!”  Weekly activities will feature age-appropriate science and technology programs and activities. The full calendar of events is available on our website and at the library.  Registration is now open during regular library hours.

School supplies

Hilltowns Community Resource Center Back-to-School Supply Drive is now on. Your donations of school supplies will help kids start the new school year ready to learn.  Donations are accepted at the library during regular business hours. 

Technology Walk-In Wednesday

Do you have a new Kindle or Nook, but don’t know how to download books? Need to brush up on your computer skills or obtain basic skills? See Amy on Wednesdays between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., for free, personalized, one-on-one instruction.
