Westerlo Library Notes for Wednesday, February 5, 2014

The Westerlo Public Library has most of the federal tax forms, schedules and instructions and we have the basic New York State forms that are needed. We will copy them for you at no cost.  Can’t find it?  Ask at the desk and we’ll help you locate the tax forms on the Internet.

Quilting group

The Quilting group will meet on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 11 a.m. Lead by Lila Hollister Smith, the group is open to all skill levels. This group meets the second and fourth Saturday of each month and new members are welcomed.

Trustees meet

The board of library trustees will meet on Monday, Feb. 10, at 7p.m., at the library.  This is an open public meeting.

Pick up your free copy of the February edition of BookPage. BookPage is a monthly book review and selection guide to the best new books published every month. The tone is upbeat and literate, focusing on bestsellers as well as new discoveries. All of the content from the print edition is posted on BookPage.com each month.

Story time

Our toddler and preschool story time meets on Wednesday at 10 a.m.  Join Miss Lee for stories, songs, games and movement activities designed for children ages two to five years old. In addition to developing pre-reading skills, singing, moving to music, and playing instruments all help foster a sense of rhythm and timing that are essential elements in developing the part of a child’s brain that shapes math skills.

Technology Walk-In Wednesday

Do you need to brush up on your computer skills or obtain basic skills?  See Amy on Wednesdays between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., for free, personalized, one-on-one, hands-on instruction on how to work the mouse, navigate the Internet, set up an e-mail account, use office automation programs, and more. If Wednesday mornings are not convenient, please contact us to schedule an appointment.
