Middleburgh Library Notes for Friday, April 29, 2016

Get ready to move for Drop-in Storytime, on May 3 at 10:45 a.m. This interactive storytime is designed especially for children up to age 5 and their caregivers. We'll read books, sing songs, recite fingerplays, dance and watch a short movie based on a weekly theme. No registration is required.

Insight Meditation

Join us for a simple group Zazen meditation practice on May 3 at 5:15 p.m.  All are welcome.  No registration is required.

Chair Yoga

Join Vicki DeGroff in the Community Room on May 4, at 9 a.m. The suggested donation is $5.

Discovery Wednesday

On May 4 at 11 a.m., Discovery Wednesday is appropriate for ages 3 and up and their caregivers. Registration is required.  You can register online at www.middleburghlibrary.info.

Bubbles Bubbles!

Listen to a bubbly story and create art using bubbles and straws on May 4. Then let's make huge bubbles!r

Wednesday Matinee

On May 4, at 1 p.m., we will show "Daddy's Home" (rated PG-13).  Stepdad Brad Whitaker is a radio host trying to get his step children to love him and call him Dad. But his plans turn upside down when the biological father, Dusty Mayron, returns. No registration is required and the popcorn is free.

Kundalini Yoga

On May 4, at 5 p.m., this class will involve repetitive movements with the breath, building strength, toning the nerves and clearing the adrenal glands.   Wear comfortable clothing and bring two blankets or a mat and blanket. A $5 donation is requested. Please use the back entrance when entering the building.  No registration is required.

Tai Chi

Please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing for these events. Beginning Tai Chi is on May 5 at 10 a.m. and Advanced Tai Chi (with the beginning class as a prerequisite) is at 11 a.m.  Registration is suggested.    

Knitting Circle

On May 5, at 7 p.m., these friendly ladies (men are welcome, but we haven't seen any yet!) knit and crochet, embroider and quilt, and more. You can learn a new skill here or share your own special talents with others, or just craft in the company of friends. Drop in anytime! No registration is required.
