Middleburgh Library Notes for Friday, February 26, 2016

On Tuesday, March 1, at 10:45 a.m., join us at the Middleburgh Library for drop-in story time. Get ready to move in this interactive story time designed especially for children up to age 5 and their caregivers. We’ll read books, sing songs, recite fingerplays, dance, and watch a short movie based on a weekly theme. No registration is required.

Mahjong Mania

On Tuesday, March 1, at 1 p.m. men and women are invited to come learn the game of Mahjong.  No experience or registration is necessary, just a willingness to learn and have fun.

Insight Meditation

On Tuesday, March 1, at 5:15 p.m. join us for a simple group Zazen meditation practice. All are welcome. No registration is required.

Chair Yoga

On Wednesday, March 2, at 9 a.m. join Vicki DeGroff in the community room for Chair Yoga. There is a $5 donation.

Donate a chair

Discovery Wednesday

On Thursday March 3, at 11 a.m., get ready for some throwback games  For our first Discovery program of 2016 we'll be breaking out the games that parents may have played when they were kids:  red light/green light, Simon says, and follow the leader just to name a few.  Some good old fashioned fun for all.  This program is appropriate for ages 3 and up and their caregivers.  Registration is required.

Movie

On Thursday, March 3, at 1 p.m., join us for the Wednesday matinee showing of "A Walk in the Woods," rated  R.

Tai Chi

On Thursday, March 3, at 10 a.m. join us for Beginning Tai Chi or at 11 a.m. for Advanced Tai Chi. Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Registration is suggested.

Concert

On Thursday, March 3, at 7 p.m., join us for a concert with Greg Greenway  a multi-faceted, rare combination of instrumental expertise, a soulful and moving singer, powerful poet, and sparkling entertainer.

This event is made possible in part, with public funds from the Decentralization Program and the NYS Council on the Arts, administered through the County Arts Grant Program by the Greene County Council on the Arts.  Tickets are available at the door.  A $10.00 donation is suggested.  Please use back entrance.

Knitting Circle

On Thursday, March 3, at 7 p.m., the friendly ladies knit and crochet, embroider, and quilt, and
