Bethlehem Library Notes for Wednesday, October 22, 2014

On Thursday, Oct. 30, from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m., the Bethlehem Public Library will share ideas and help plan programs and activities at the library with the Teen Advisory Group for their Halloween party. This program is for grades six through 12.

Halloween parade

On Friday, Oct. 31, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. come to the library for a craft, a film, and the library’s annual parade through the library. Costumes are optional. The parade is for children up to age six with family.

A Little Sunday Music

On Sunday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m. Veena and Devesh Chandra will perform classical music of India on sitar and tabla.

Young at Heart

book discussion

On Monday, Nov. 3, at 7 p.m., the book discussion for teens and adults will be The Hunt by Andrew Fukuda. New members are welcome. Copies of the book are available at the information desk.

Tai Chi for health

On Wednesdays, Nov. 5 to Dec. 17 at 11 a.m. the library will have instruction in basic tai chi movements for all ages and abilities. No prior experience is needed. Wear loose clothing and smooth-soled shoes.

Book Buddies

On Wednesdays, Nov. 5 to19, from 4 to 5 p.m. the library’s Little Buddies read and do activities with Big Buddies to build reading skills and self-confidence. Call 439-9314 for more information and to sign up. This program is for children in kindergarten through grade five.

Homework helpers

On Wednesdays, Nov. 5 to 19, from 4 to 5 p.m., the homework helpers are available for children in kindergarten through grade five.
