Author talk

Pauline Bartel, author of The Complete Gone With The Wind Trivia Book, will give a talk at the library on Friday, Sept. 26, at 1 p.m.

On the 75th anniversary of the film’s release, her focus is the drama that roiled behind the scenes and almost doomed one of the greatest movies of all time. Books will be available for purchase and signing after the program. The program is cosponsored by Bethlehem Senior Porjects Inc. The library is located at 451 Delaware Ave. in Delmar.

Just read

On Friday, Sept. 26, at 4 p.m., join a “read-in” with your favorite book; make a one-of-a-kind bookmark to mark your place. This program is for kids in kindergarten through grade five.

Off the beaten path

On Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 7 p.m., Adirondack Mountain Club member Alan Via will talk about the Catskills’ hidden peaks in four seasons. Via will be joined by his hiking companion, a year-old black lab named Toby.
