Bethlehem Library Notes for Thursday, April 10, 2014

On Monday, April 14, at 10 a.m., come to the Bethlehem Public Library dressed as your favorite animal, do zoo-themed crafts, read a book, and have a gr-r-reat time. This program is for ages 3 to 9.

Daybooks

On Monday, April 14, at 1:30 p.m., the library’s book group will discuss The Round House by Louise Erdrich. New members are welcome. Copies of the book are available at the information desk. Audio copies may also be available.

Scratch basics

On Monday, April 14, from 2:30 to 4 p.m., learn to make a two-player racecar game with Scratch, a free and accessible programming language developed at the MIT Media Lab. This program is for kids in grade 4 and up, Call 439-9314 to sign up.

Board meets

On Monday, April 14,at 6:30 p.m., the library board will meet. This meeting is open to the public.

Book group

On Monday, April 14, at 7 p.m., The Youngat Heart: YA for teens and adults will meet to discuss Code Name Verity by Elizabeth Wein. New members are welcome. Copies of the book are available at the information desk. Audio copies may also be available.

Pompom poppers

On Tuesday, April 15, at 10 a.m., make your own popgun for pompoms or marshmallows. Participants must be able to use scissors or bring an adult to help. This program is for kindergarten and up.

Human battleship

On Tuesday, April 15, at 2:30 p.m., bring some friends for a round of this classic game, with a twist, the battleship is you. For kids in grades 6 through 12. Call 439-9314 to sign up.
