Bethlehem Library Notes for Wednesday, February 5, 2014

On Friday, Feb. 7, at 3:30 p.m., join us at the Bethlehem Public Library for the Teen Advisory Group’s monthly meeting to talk about teen programs and activities at the library. This program is for kids in grades six through 12.

Paws to Read

On Saturday, Feb. 8, from 3 to 4 p.m.,  drop in and read to Kitty, a gentle dog who loves stories. This program is for kids in grades three to five.

Writers and friends

On Sunday, Feb. 9, at 2 p.m., author James Redwood will talk about his award-winning collection of short stories, Love Beneath the Napalm. Redwood’s short stories have appeared in The Kenyon Review, TriQuarterly, Notre Dame Review and elsewhere. This program is co-sponsored by Friends of Bethlehem Public Library.

Daybooks

On Monday, Feb. 10, at 1:30 p.m., come to the library for a discussion of  The Aviator’s Wife by Melanie Benjamin. New members are welcome. Copies of the book are available at the information desk. Audio copies may also be available.

Board meets

On Monday, Feb. 10, at 6:30 p.m., the library’s board will meet. This meeting is open to the public.

Book discussions

On Monday, Feb. 10, at 7 p.m., Young at Heart: YA books for adults will discuss The Raven Boys by Maggie Stiefvater. New members are welcome. Copies of the book are available at the information desk. Audio copies may also be available.

Then on Tuesday, Feb. 11, at 7 p.m., Afterdinner Too book group will discuss How It All Began by Penelope Lively. New members are welcome. Copies of the book are available at the information desk. Audio copies may also be available.
