Nominate outstanding students and educators for YMCA award

The Guilderland and Bethlehem YMCAs are accepting applications for their 17th Annual Outstanding Student and Outstanding Educator Awards.

All students in grades 10 and 11 who live in the communities of or are attending schools in, Berne-Knox-Westerlo, Bethlehem, Guilderland, Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, or Voorheesville are eligible to apply.

Students will be honored based on demonstrated leadership and dedication of service to their communities or schools, making responsible and positive choices even when negative peer pressure makes those choices difficult, and exhibiting a character trait that embraces the values of all YMCAs nationally: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Applications are due at the Guilderland or Bethlehem YMCA on Friday, March 21. School guidance departments and the YMCA have applications as does contact Kyle Anderson, program director, who may be reached by phone at 456-3634, ext. 1151 or by e-mail at kanderson@cdymca.org.
