It was a playoff soccer game to remember in Berne last Saturday as two rivals fought to make the next round.

It was a rough first half for Voorheesville football last Friday at Corinth; the Birds turned the ball over five different times.

The Voorheesville girls' soccer team was no match for the defending state champion this week, but that's not the point.

Interim Superintendent Lonnie Palmer said school officials were confused on what they were supposed to do after dramatic public comments and were mistaken not to acknowledge them.

The dismissal of Berne-Knox-Westerlo varsity basketball Coach Andy Wright is on the agenda for Monday night's school board meeting; petitions supporting him are currently circulating while parents who fear retaliation are remaining silent.

Winning 11 straight league games, and giving up only five goals over that time, the Berne-Knox-Westerlo soccer team is rolling deep.

Voorheesville didn't get close to beating Chatham or Fonda; the Birds need to improve if the team hopes for a playoff run.

Opponents can't break the defense of the Guilderland girls' soccer team, which hasn't allowed a goal in seven games. Even an undefeated Shenendehowa squad couldn't score.

Volleyball is the ultimate team sport, but sometimes a single player can shine in the spotlight.

The Guilderland football team is 4-0 for the first time since 2007, and with a steady balance of offense and defense, the Dutch are blazing a trail to the playoffs.
