PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Rensselaerville has introduced and proposed for adoption Local Law No. 2 of 2010, an amendment to the Town’s Zoning Law, which prohibits commercial wind power facilities in all zoning districts of the Town. The proposed local law defines commercial wind power facilities as any single or multiple wind turbines, equipment and/or facilities designed for the generation of electrical power for connection to the power grid and/or sale of electrical power and includes any such turbine or facility with a generating capacity of more than one hundred kilowatts (100kW). The Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that adoption of the proposed Local Law constitutes a Type I action under the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA).
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that the Town Board of the Town of Rensselaerville will hold a public hearing on the proposed Local Law on August 10, 2010, at 6:30 p.m. at the Town Hall located at 87 Barger Road, Medusa, NY, at which time and place all those wishing to comment on the proposed Local Law will have an opportunity to be heard.
