Police seek armed robber

GUILDERLAND — A customer of Citizens Bank was robbed at gunpoint late Tuesday night, police say.

The customer was making a deposit in the night deposit box at 10:44 p.m., at the bank at 1516 Western Ave., when a white male, approximately 5 feet, 5 inches to 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and 160 pounds, showed a gray handgun and demanded the deposit, according to a press release from the Guilderland Police Department.

The suspect was wearing a gray ski mask, gray hooded sweatshirt, and dark jeans. He fled on foot, the release said.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Guilderland Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Unit at 356-1501, or e-mail police@townofguilderland.org.
