Embrace the season with a literary walk in the park

To the Editor:

The days are getting shorter, the weather is getting colder, and the snow may be blowing soon.  Just the right time for a brisk family walk to check out the newest StoryWalk book in the Knox town park:  “Over and Under the Snow” by Kate Messner with art by Christopher Silas Neal.

In the story, a father and child cross-country ski over the fields, spotting signs of wildlife.  The artist, using cut-away techniques, shows us the animal life below ground too.  The author provides interesting facts about the animals at the end of the book.

Embrace the season!  This is a great reason to dress warmly and enjoy a beautiful nature story while taking an invigorating walk through the Knox town park.  StoryWalk is sponsored by the Friends of the Berne Library.
