Come to the ‘Spooktacular’ to support the Kids Club

To the Editor:

The Kids Club is excited to announce our 5K "Spooktacular" fundraiser, including a 5K run, two-mile walk, children's one-mile spooky sprint, and devilish dashes for the younger children.

The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 25, at 10 a.m. at Voorheesville’s high school, utilizing the outdoor track and an official 5K route.

The Kids Club is a not-for-profit organization that provides a unique before- and after-school experience for children in the Voorheesville School District in kindergarten through eighth grade. We strive to help our community by alleviating child-care and safety worries of working parents.

Kids Club gives children access to a variety of activities including clubs, athletics, culinary experiences, homework helpers, science exploration, fine arts, field trips, and much more.

There will be a concession stand and a drawing for baskets. Check-in and on-site registration begins at 8:30 a.m. in the athletic foyer at the school. Neon T-shirts are guaranteed to prepaid registrations received by Oct. 1. Register online at active.com.

For further information, email us at [email protected].

This event will give parents, children and the community a chance to come together and support an incredible program.
