Alan Alexander has been hired as vice president and senior commercial banking relationship manager at NBT Bank.

In this position, Alexander is responsible for developing and managing business relationships with commercial customers throughout the Capital Region. He is based at NBT Bank’s Capital Region Financial Center located at 80 Wolf Road, Suite 101, in Albany.

Alexander has 19 years of commercial banking experience. Prior to joining NBT Bank, he held various lending positions at Key Bank in Albany. Most recently, he was a senior relationship manager in that bank’s Commercial Banking Division.  Prior positions at Key Bank include serving as a portfolio manager at KeyBanc Capital Markets and in the Structured Finance Division.

A resident of Delmar, Alexander earned his master’s degree in business administration from the University at Albany and bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame. He is currently president of the board of directors for Stakeholders Inc., and congregational president for Saint Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
