What is wrong with school bus drivers who ignore walk light?

To the Editor:

On Tuesday morning, I walked, on our new sidewalk, west on the south side of Route 146 to the traffic light in Guilderland Center, where there is now a walk-light for crossing 146 to Park Guilderland.

After punching the button and, at length, getting a walk light, I began to cross. But the string of school buses that was turning right from School Road into Route 146 just kept coming — completely ignoring the light, so that I had to jump back to the curb, and then dodge my way across the street as best I could.

What is wrong with these people? If school bus drivers can't be expected to obey traffic lights, who can?
