Free ice cream and pony rides at Community Day

KNOX — The Knox Youth Council is sponsoring “Community Day” on Monday, May 25, from noon to 2 p.m.  This will follow the Knox Memorial Day parade, which will end at the town hall on Route 156 in the village.
The event will be at the Knox town park, behind Town Hall.

Community Day will feature free ice cream and beverages, complimentary pony rides, and face painting.  As usual, all features of the park, including the playground, nature trails, basketball and tennis courts, baseball and soccer fields, and a covered pavilion, will be available for use.

In addition, the Knox Historical Museum at the Saddlemire Homestead will be open for self-guided tours or research from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  The homestead features many interesting exhibits and artifacts.

The Youth Council will collect donations for the local food pantry.
