BKW forum set for May 10

BERNE — The Berne-Knox-Westerlo Parent-Teacher Association is sponsoring a second “Meet the Candidates Night” to showcase the individuals from our community who will be running for the next two open board of education seats.

Please plan to join us on Tuesday, May 10, at 6:30 p.m. in the secondary school library for this event.  The three candidates running for the two open board seats are Joan Adriance, Susan Kendall Schanz, and Matthew Tedeschi.

Each candidate will be given the opportunity to share their views in terms of the open board seats and what they plan to bring to the community if elected.  Community members will then be given the opportunity to ask questions of the group as a whole pertaining to the board of education.

The PTA is currently seeking input from the community as to what issues or concerns they would like the candidates to address at this event.  Please email your questions for the candidates to the PTA at by Friday, May 6.

This is your opportunity to speak with the candidates before elections are held on Tuesday, May 17,  at the district budget vote.  Please plan to attend this event so that you are able to make an informed decision on which two candidates you feel will be the best fit for the BKW Board of Education next year.  The elected candidates will each hold a three-year term.

Editor’s note: Tami Hanley is the president of the Berne-Knox-Westerlo PTA.
