To the Editor:

The Wounded Warrior Project has chosen Albany for the sixth annual Memorial Day 100 relay marathon. This year’s run will take 30 Marine Corps veterans 138 miles, from the World War II Memorial in Albany to the Orange County Veterans Cemetery at Goshen, New York.

The weekend will kick off with a dinner honoring the Marine veteran runners of the 3/25 who served in Iraq and lost 48 of their brothers in 2005. The dinner will take place at Stout Irish Pub & Restaurant on Broadway in Albany, featuring a silent auction, 50/50 drawing, music, and more.

For this event, we are seeking corporate and media sponsors as well as donations of products and gift cards as auction prizes. All proceeds will benefit Wounded Warrior Project and The Corporal Joseph S. Tremblay Scholarship Fund.

If you would like to help with this important event, please call the Lamination Preservation Gallery at 464-8933 or email www.bluesails3@hotmail.com.
